When I print it, its -46 and -6 from center of bed. What happens is when I slice a model in cura, it will be dead center of the bed. On the acutal machine, I set the XY offsets and verified. In octopi, I have dont the 851 command and told it the XY are -46 and -6. In Cura, I have set my XY Offset to match those measurements. When I auto home, it will go to 163 and 123 on the display. The auto home works correctly and homes to the center of the glass bed every time. The CR Touch is 46 millimeters to the left and 6 millimeters to the front of my actual nozzle. I measured the X Y Offset and I came up with -46 and -6. First layer sucks but rest of print is good.Nothing understands that the nozzle is offset from the CR Touch. The first is the main problem because they don't sync. Somewhere along the lines, two things have happened that are driving me crazy. Ender 3 has Octopi, silent board upgrade, basic metal upgrades that everyone does, glass bed. Im sure theres a way but with the X Stop switch, I cant reach my edge without crashing into it with the CR Touch. Technically the left side would be X-6 if I want it on the very edge (technically should be X0). I checked the right side of the bed and the nozzle reaches the very end of the bed and it thinks its at X229. My CR Touch is hitting the X Stop and the Nozzle cant ever reach the left side of the bed. Im not familiar with editing firmware enough to know how to change it but I can dig through youtube and probably find a walkthrough. The CR Touch thinks that my home offset is 0,0 and its not. This feature is secondary to Barcode Scanner’s code scanning capabilities, and is not as developed as one finds in other apps, but it is there to use nonetheless. In addition to code scanning, Barcode Scanner has the ability to generate and share QR codes for installed apps, contacts, bookmarks, and clipboard data. On the brightside, it does allow for a Google web search using the number read off the code, which then leads to a link that allows for package tracking via UPS’ website. It just means it doesn’t know that the number it is reading is a UPS tracking number. Now that doesn’t mean Barcode Scanner does not properly read it it reads the tracking number just fine. For example, Barcode Scanner is unable to recognize a UPS tracking code, categorizing it as “text”. However, sometimes Barcode Scanner is unable to properly recognize a code. I just praised how Barcode Scanner is able to recognize the different types of codes and show relevant results to users. Of course nothing is ever perfect, and the same holds true for Barcode Scanner. Scanning the UPC barcode for a product, like a Lays Chips bag, provides similar results: Web search, product search, and Google Shopper link. Or, when scanning the ISBN barcode for a book, Barcode Scanner recognizes it as an ISBN and allows me to do a product search, a book search, search the inside the book (through Google Books), and even provides a link to Google Shopper (which must be installed separately). For example, if scanning a QR code for an app, Barcode Scanner will allow you to find the app in Android Market or send an e-mail/SMS to someone informing them about the app. What I really like about Barcode Scanner is that it recognizes the different types of codes and displays the relevant results to you. Barcode Scanner will then scan the code, decode it, and display the results to you. Scanning codes with Barcode Scanner is as easy as point and shoot: Turn on the app and point it at the code you want to scan. This library is the backbone of Barcode Scanner it allows Barcode Scanner to read many different types of 1D and 2D codes: The ZXing team have developed an open-source barcode reading library. Does not properly make use of camera flash (on phones that have flash) while scanning codes.Lacks the ability to decode codes from image files – only works through the camera.Keeps a history, allowing users easy access to previously scanned codes. Can generate QR codes for apps, bookmarks, contacts, and clipboard data.Has the ability to scan codes in batch, one after another.Recognizes what type of code is being read and allows the user to act upon that knowledge. Can read multiple different types of codes: 1D and 2D codes (e.g.Feel free to drop by when you have time! Table of Contents This article is part of our Best Free Android Apps repository. (Although the main focus is QR code reading, barcode reading is also discussed in this article.) Let’s find out which app is the best free barcode/QR code reader, shall we? or have a computer for a brain, you cannot read QR codes without the assistance of a barcode reader app. To keep up with this QR code phenomenon, one needs the ability to read these codes. It was, after all, only a matter of time. QR codes have been widely adopted as a method of quick data transfer I should not have been surprised to find a QR code plastered on an advertisement. Naturally I was astonished, never before seeing QR codes outside of the Android ecosystem, but now that I think back on it I find myself feeling sheepish. Once I was walking to class at my university and I noticed a sign on the sidewalk had a QR code on it. It is as much of a tool for generating color palettes for websites as it is for real-world product launches.Īfter you have selected your concept, you can start using the Generate button on the top-right corner of the dashboard. These "concepts" refer to design projects such as Branding, Websites, but also Websites with Illustrations or Gradients. To begin using Huemint, you first need to select one of the concepts on the left-hand sidebar. Once you launch the tool, you'll get access to its main dashboard. Interested to learn more? Make sure you read the About Huemint page to understand how the software works, and the model it uses to generate the color palettes. And the amount of features you get is exceptional, especially for a free-to-use tool. This absolute banger of a tool uses Machine Learning to power its color-generating capabilities. If you've never heard of Huemint before - you're in for a treat. Mackenzie has populated those sections with many interesting and useful design information. Make sure you read the information presented in all the sections, too. I highly recommend Happy Hues to anyone just starting out with web design. That said, there are 18 palettes you can choose from, and altogether it comes out as 90 different color schemes considering that each section has its own design. So, no way to add external libraries that provide color toggle. This is because the site was built with Webflow. And the downside is that you can't specify your own colors. For each section, you get the addition of "This section's hues" - which is the combination of colors used for that specific section. Once you pick a palette on the sidebar, the site refreshes using the palette you picked, and you have a fresh design with 5 unique sections. The reason I love this tool so much is its simplicity. Happy Hues was built by Mackenzie Child back in 2019, but to this day, it is one of the first sites I go to whenever I'm starting a new project from scratch. Having said that, I think it's time to look at all the options to generate or create a color palette from scratch and see what it would look like in an actual design. I'll also talk about some "non-conventional" generators and explain my reasoning for including them in this article below each one. Many of these tools have been created to meet industry-standard design principles, color matching, and contrast ratio requirements. So, ultimately, you're stuck with having to go back and forth and check the final composition between multiple tools or pages.įor this article, I will focus on color palette tools that let you preview the color palette in a real example design. Generating a color palette with a live previewĪnother "pain point" with many of these standalone generators is that they don't provide a direct example of what those colors will look like on a real design. Additionally, check this guide on how to validate the contrast ratio directly from your browser. Interested to learn more about color contrast and accessibility?Ĭheck out this article published on web.dev by Rachel Andrew and Rob Dodson. In fact, the contrast ratio for text elements is way out of the range of what it should be to meet modern requirements, particularly for accessibility. At first glance, it doesn't look so bad, right? There's decent whitespace balance for everything, except that the text is extremely difficult to read. In RDM Free, the Apple Remote Desktop entry type is quite easy to configure. We may choose to add consistency by prefixing our table names with tbl so that a table with student data is called tblstudentdata. Reflection is also useful in cases where configuration is required to string things together. There are two categories of methods provided inĬlass for accessing fields, methods, and constructors: methods which enumerate these members and methods which search for particular members. Why is AOMEI Backupper favored by most users? Here are some reasons: Meanwhile, all Windows PC operating systems like Windows 11/10/8.1/8/7/Vista/XP are supported. It helps you copy certain files and save them on the specified location via certain rules. As long as you use this software, you will not encounter the above-mentioned problem and other OneDrive sync problems.ĪOMEI Backupper Standard is the best free file sync software. If the above methods cannot solve the OneDrive sync pending problem, I strongly recommend you the third method. Then, all files or folders stuck in sync pending status are able to finish finally. Scroll down to Files on Demand, Uncheck Save space and download files as you use them, and click OK to save changes. Open OneDrive and go to the Settings tab. If you are in Situation 2, use the following steps as reference. Here take Situation 1 as an example to show you the detailed steps. This may be a little more complicated, you need to check the Files on Demand feature in Microsoft One Drive and then uncheck it. #2: OneDrive Files on Demand is unchecked previously. How to Deal with Windows 10/11 OneDrive Sync Pending In the following, I will introduce three ways to help you solve it. How to get rid of OneDrive sync stuck? If you encounter such issues, don’t worry. Also, if you want to synchronize files to OneDrive, you must ensure that the space on OneDrive is sufficient, o therwise sync pending or other problems may occur. Some folders keep showing their status of being "Sync Pending" even though the One Drive icon on the task bar indicates "Up to date" status. Hi, I have had a problem with syncing in One Drive. How to handle OneDrive sync pending issue? In the freemium world this is a good move. What convinced me of one app over the other was the addiction of adding and that the trial or ‘free’ version gives you a chance to add enough entries in the CDpedia database so that you wont want to start again. It’s nice to have some bells and whistles but getting the core right is more important. I thought in away that Delicious Library and CDpedia have forgotten what it is they are about … Creating a Catalogue and focus on ‘me’ first. I kinda think that any friend of mine receiving such a reminder might tell me to £$%-off and never return my CD. CDpedia also allows you to setup email reminders and send Late Notes to your tardy friends. What seemed very ‘strange’ to me was the ability to check in and out CD’s from your collection. BackUpĪll 3 pieces of software allow you to backup with options to backup to CSV or spreadsheets as well. If you wanted to check if you have that CD then it might be nice. Kind of cool, but not of much use is the ability to export your collection to your iPod or iPhone. CDpedia too can export as HTML or create Smart Collections like smart playlists. Export and Publish your Collectionĭelicious Library wins out on visual experience, creating bookshelves like libraries or exporting as fully functioning website were cool. A good feature in Delicious is that you can click on an entry from your iTunes library and play it immediately.Īll three pieces of software will support adding CD’s via a barcode scanner, importing a text file with barcodes. One nice feature of Delicious and CDpedia is its ability to import your iTunes library as well - kinda over-rated as what you would want is the ‘sync-up’ or symbiotic link to be made between the CD entry and the iTunes entry. Options to change this are under the Preferences. Annoyingly little things when you live somewhere else. Searching for barcodes should be easy – by default all the software want to search Amazon US or CA first. I quickly found that a lot of errors come from the type of paper used for the jewel case inlay paper – shiny, coated stuff was not so good. Features and Usage Adding CD’sĪdding CD’s was probably the best fun - whamo … the builtin iSight camera had my adding CD’s all afternoon. Music Collector was the only software to have a windows version which is good news. Music Collectors visual style lacks any eye candy being more like a excel spreadsheet then a library database. However, it can search all the same databases like Amazon, CDDB, etc if you first put the CD into the computer. It lacks the Barcode Scanning ability of the other two apps. Music Collector also limits its free version to 100 entries. Delicious Library will also allow you to add books and DVD’s in the same version. I’m not sure why … when CDpedia does a good job of managing my CD’s and DVD’s. By the time I got to 25 entries, I thought paying $18 was going to be worth it.Ĭuriously the company behind CDpedia also makes a version of the software called Bookpedia and DVDpedia. It matches Delicious Library in its ability to use your iSight camera as a barcode scanner. Booo hisss.ĬDpedia seems the most like iTunes. During testing I was under joyed to find that Delicious Library free version only supports 25 entries. First time users will like Delicious – it can import your iTunes automatically and its best feature is using your Mac’s iSight to scan and search for barcodes. So there is some software for collectors.ĭelicious Library has the nicest interface and a number of options like coverflow, browse by bookshelf (like a library). I knew that a program called Delicious would do the trick and had come across Anobit and Librarything for books. Where to start – searching Google for keywords like CD library, collection or managing CD’s led to lots of spurious results – like suggestions for iTunes, MediaMonkey and so on. Recycling the CD or giving it away to Oxfam is also a nice spacesaving idea – but then technically, you wouldn’t own the music anymore so that digital copy would become illegal. I wanted to recycle the packaging, keep the CD and the booklet for its album artwork. Some audiophiles or purists will have you believe that you still will want to play the CD, but I don’t own an £800 CD player. If you’re like me, I’ve been ripping all my CD’s for years and the CD and cases were just collecting dust in my room. Now that you’ve ripped and digitised all of your CD library – what do you do with your CD’s? One idea is to create a catalogue and then you can box or put away (or recycle) your CD’s and DVD’s giving you much more space to fill with books, CD’s or other stuff. Water features can offer a range of benefits when incorporated into a landscape design. It’s also important to consider the long-term value of the water feature, including its impact on property value and the overall enjoyment of the outdoor space. It’s important to consider the budget for the water feature, including the cost of installation and ongoing maintenance. Water features can vary significantly in cost, depending on the size, materials, and complexity of the design. This could include using recycled water, planting native vegetation, and incorporating features such as rainwater harvesting systems. It’s important to consider the environmental impact of the water feature and to design it with sustainability in mind. Water features can have a significant impact on the environment, including water usage, wildlife habitat, and energy consumption. iv) Environmental impact and sustainability It’s also important to consider the maintenance requirements of the water feature, such as cleaning, algae control, and winterization. It’s important to consider the safety aspects of the water feature, such as the depth of the pond or pool, the placement of rocks and other features, and the use of non-slip surfaces. Water features require regular maintenance to keep them clean and functioning properly. iii) Safety and maintenance considerations The water feature should also be appropriately scaled for the size of the property and the other elements of the landscape design. It’s important to consider the style, colors, and materials used in the design of the water feature and how they integrate with the surrounding landscape. ii) Integration with the overall landscape designĪ water feature should complement the overall landscape design and should not be an afterthought. It’s also important to consider the water source, whether it’s a natural spring, municipal water supply, or a recycled water system. The analysis should include factors such as topography, soil type, and drainage. Here are some key design considerations for water features: i) Site analysis and water sourceīefore designing a water feature, it’s important to conduct a site analysis to determine the suitability of the area. Also, install a timer into your water feature so that it only operates when necessary. The sound of soft rippling water is much more calming and relaxing than that of a high gusher. When incorporating water features into a landscape design, there are several important design considerations that need to be taken into account. This will prevent water from being splashed out of the collecting pool. Remember that a Water Wise water feature is one where the water falls into a pool below that is 1.5 m wider than the height of the fall of the water. Dark pigment colours on the inside of water features cause temperatures to rise and encourage evaporation. For example, avoid the dripping tap type feature that drains into the landscape. Aim rather for self-contained, re-circulating water. Avoid water features that require a continuous supply of new water.Place one water feature strategically in a focal area to get the greatest effect rather than several scattered around the garden.Plant water plants that cover the water surface area and reduce evaporation.Check old ponds manufactured of concrete regularly for cracks and leaks. If your water feature is placed in an area of high wind, this will increase evaporation.Check the level of your pond daily to see if it drops dramatically, and if so check for leaks.Choose fountains with coarse droplets that help reduce atomisation, thereby reducing evaporation. Fountains with a fine spray or high pressure waterfalls lose a lot of water due to evaporation.Tips to ensure your water feature does not waste water: When constructing a pond, use solid surface construction material, for example cement or glass fibre in preference to clay or soil that allows water to infiltrate through it, causing a water loss.Swamp type plants cope well with filtering household waste water for example Typha capensis (Bulrush).Design/adjust to ensure that no splashing occurs.Aim to locate water features in the shade to limit evaporation.Plant water plants that cover the water surface area and reduce evaporation.Aim for minimum size, with maximum effect and limited open pans of water.Use this guide to ensure your water feature is Water Wise. However, water features can also use and lose a lot of water. A water feature can add a wonderful focal point to any garden or landscape and encourages birds and insects.
